LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

WE'RE LOOKING FOR WOMEN WHO DON'T MIND GETTING STUCK IN…COULD THIS BE YOU?

An involvement in GirlGuiding New Zealand is constantly challenging and varied. All it takes is enthusiasm, an interest in working with girls and a willingness to learn as well as to teach. You can give as little or as much time as you are able to spare.

If you're over 17 years, there are a variety of opportunities to work as a unit leader, an administrator or supporting in areas that are of special interest to you. Everyone can help because we all have special skills and interests to share. Even if you've never thought of yourself a serious 'outdoorsy' person, we can still offer you plenty of interesting opportunities to make a meaningful and very worthwhile contribution - to make a difference. In fact, there are just so many diverse ways to gain a high level of personal satisfaction as a leader within GirlGuiding New Zealand.

Progressive training programmes will help boost your confidence as you develop skills in leadership, communication, team-building, administration, programme management, time management and outdoor education through a wide range of enjoyable, practical activities. Some of the worthwhile qualifications you can gain include lifesaving, first aid, boating, camping and catering. These can often provide the first step towards building valuable life and employment skills. You'll get all the help, encouragement and support you need along the way too.

GirlGuiding also provides a welcome opportunity to meet, mix and socialise with other women from all walks of life.
